Call of Duty

Upon receiving news that there are parties conspiring towards the formation of a society not fit for Malays in Malaysia, my wife and I along with thousands responsible Muslims came together to protest against this abomination of the Mlalay faith.

The peaceful rally was held at Masjid Persekutuan at Jalan Duta, KL. The turnout was massive, Alhamdulillah. Petitions were signed, pamphlets were collected and books were bought. Some photos taken too...

Kind words

I must be doing something right... : D

The following is an entry taken off a discussion forum at nasyeed.com.

Kenapa saya minat dgn sentuhan Trabye? Muzik2 yg disusun oleh beliau semakin best kalau anda semua perasan... Cube dengar lagu "Kalimah Cinta" drp In-Team... Mmg best muziknye... Trabye jugak buat lagu utk De'Hearty...

Menebas rumput

The green fee is only RM20 for 9 holes and RM30 for 18. Thinking that we'd get our money's worth, we went for the full round of 18 holes. Alang-alang menyeluk pekasam, biar sampai menyelam. Little that we knew, we'd be paying more than RM30. My body still aches as I am writing this entry...

AJ's test shotBetween the two of us, AJ was the more focused one. I was playing from my gut (no pun intended!) between us, we only lost 5 balls. Not bad for fairway virgins! The course was an all par-3 hole and we decided not to compete. We just wanted to feel the grass and practice swinging on actual ground. We had a lot of fun on the first nine. By the time we played the back nine, we were literally dragging our feet and bags. I developed a blister on one of the toes on my left foot and used it as an excuse not to play well (and to buy more expensive shoes! Ha ha!)

It took us a blazing 6 hours in the sun to run through the entire course. We can safely say, as beginners, we did it all: OB, water hazard, bunkers, green in one, bogeys, double bogeys, triple bogeys, the elusive par, slice, hook... and it was good! That said, am looking forward to another round soon!
